3 Ways to Encourage Peacefulness With Your Family

The definition of peacefulness is: a state of being quiet and calm. But people often assume that this also means, "an absence of troubles." What we want our families to understand is that we can tap into peacefulness, despite the current state of everything around us. Whether it is calm or chaos, we want to be able to practice getting into a state of peacefulness at any time!

Here are 3 ways to encourage your children to practice peacefulness, so that they can use it as a resource in all stages of their lives:

🧘 Meditation Time: Introduce short, guided meditation sessions tailored for children and adults. Use apps or online videos that guide the family through calming visualizations and peaceful reflections.

👟 Nature Walks: Take leisurely walks in a nearby park or nature reserve. Encourage everyone to observe the beauty of nature, listen to the sounds around them, and enjoy the calming effects of the outdoors.

☮️ Create a Peace Corner: Designate a corner of your home as a "peace corner" where family members can go to relax and unwind. Fill it with soft cushions, calming books, and peaceful decorations. This is a safe place for all to go, and we hope that our kids will create one in their own homes one day.
